A Perfect Girl’s Getaway in Cancun

Taking a break with your girlfriends is one of the best ways to unwind, catch up and make lifelong memories.  The biggest challenge is trying to find the perfect destination.  

My friends and I look for luxurious spas, breathtaking views, a variety of tastes, blue water and flowing cocktails.  We recently experienced it all at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun with our block of swim-out rooms.  You can’t get more spoiled than opening your patio door and stepping in the pool with the ocean view just a few yards away.  When we managed to leave the pool, we were treated to a class making our own special fragrance, and of course followed by a tequila tasting.  For breakfast, the fresh cinnamon rolls were heavenly.  Go ahead and Indulge.  There is a spin class in the pool to burn off the cinnamon rolls and absorb more Vitamin D.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun offers a vibrant culinary scene at 17 restaurants, lounges and bars inspired by internationally trained chefs. Savor French fare at the adults-only Bastille's, Asian cuisine at Moongate, Italian at Lorenzo's and American diner classics at Chevy's. Brew your own artisan beer at Tres Cerveza's and go crazy at Pasteles contemporary dessert parlor.

Cancun is a quick get-away for a great value.  You are having breakfast in Houston and after a short non-stop flight, you are munching guacamole on the beach for lunch.  

The Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara are both excellent all-inclusive resort options that give you the feel of being miles away from the city, with the convenience of restaurants, nightlife and shopping galore within a few blocks.  Hyatt Zilara is the adult-only resort with traditional Spanish décor and an ocean view from every room.  A few blocks away, the Hyatt Ziva is surrounded on three sides by turquoise blue waters at the end of the strip.   The resort is family friendly, but adults only enjoy the Turquoize Tower with the infinity pool overlooking the ocean and the unique dolphin tank on the premises, butler service, oversized balconies with private tub and VIP access. Watching the dolphins play from your balcony is hypnotizing.
